Single jointed underlay bit with Sweet Iron
Sweet iron, when it comes into contact with (air) moisture,
develops surface rust that tastes sweet and naturally
stimulates salivation, making the horse accept the bit better.
Due to this rust development (oxidation), the blue color
of the Trust bit changes to greyish-brown. When not in use for a while,
the sweet iron bit will form a thin orange-brown
layer of rust on the mouthpiece. This can be easily removed with a damp cloth.
