The fixed side parts of this bit allow the rein aid to be transmitted directly to the horse's tongue and lower jaw. They also protect the sensitive corners of the mouth and slightly frame the horse on the sides. The bit sits particularly quietly in the mouth and is ideal as a snaffle or as an everyday bit for a wide variety of applications.
