B&R Snaffle Bit Loose Ring Sweet Iron
This single-jointed loose ring snaffle features solid stainless steel rings and a mouthpiece made of mild steel combined with a sweet iron layer on the mouthpiece (blue). Saliva production is further encouraged by the sweet iron layer on the mouthpiece. When this material reacts with moisture, heat, and air, it will oxidize and develop a sweet-tasting surface rust. This aids in the acceptance of the bit. Eventually, the blue color disappears, but the taste of the surface rust remains.
The anatomical shape follows the contours of the horse's mouth, allowing for gentle and even pressure distribution. The Magic System combines the flexibility of a jointed bit with the control of a straight bar. The exclusive design, thanks to its blocking function, prevents injuries to the tongue and palate. The mouthpiece of a single-jointed snaffle moves at one point. It acts on the tongue, the bars, the corners of the mouth, and sometimes also on the horse's palate. When a rein aid is given, the bit forms a V-shape. Since this mouthpiece has only one movable point, the tongue is freer than, for example, with a double-jointed bit. The mouthpiece is 14 mm thick and the bit rings have a diameter of 65 mm.
