Sprenger HO Weymouth Bit Dressage 12mm
5cm shanks
The mouthpiece design, featuring a forward-sloping tongue port whose smooth transitions merge into angled, lateral bit parts, excels through highly refined pressure distribution on the tongue. The sense of touch is optimally utilized, allowing for particularly precise action.
This Weymouth bit is recommended for gently and safely introducing a horse to the double bridle.
The angled mouthpiece promotes harmony between the rider's hand and the horse's mouth and ensures a relaxed approach to the double bridle.
Where the Weymouth bit is buckled, the horse's mouth is narrower, which is why the Weymouth bit should generally be chosen 1/2 to 1 cm smaller than the bradoon.
It is important that the side parts of the Weymouth bit fit snugly at the corners of the mouth.
The curb chain should be buckled so that the Weymouth bit can be accepted up to an angle of approx. 45°.
slightly curved and forward-sloping, with tongue freedom, angled transitions to the side piece
slight relief for the middle of the tongue, less pressure on the tongue edges
even pressure distribution over the entire tongue when reins are pulled
suitable for beginners to double bridles, sensitive horses, and for introducing a horse to the double bridle
neck pressure comparatively low due to short leverage, but occurs more quickly, therefore a sensitive rider's hand is necessary
Approved for competitions with prescribed double bridle saddlery:
- Dressage L to S classes
